BREATHE: A story I wrote last year for the LiveJournal x2009 'The Time Is Now' challenge, it's been sitting on my writing journal ever since. It's a story that sees Subaru in women's clothing but it's far from amusing. I had the basic idea for this fic at least five years ago, and I'm really happy with the way it turned out.
NUKUME DORI. I set myself a challenge this year: to write and publish the two Kyoto chapters of the epic-that-ate-my-life, which for those who have followed me for ages expecting one chapter a year was a pretty serious goal for me. The first of the two took over a year to write; the second five weeks, reason being that because these chapters are set in Kyoto they required far, far too much research on top of dealing with moving Subaru and Hokuto to Kyoto and dealing with Lady Sumeragi. There's also the introduction of an original character who although may not have a big part here needed a lot of behind-the-scenes developing in anticipation of later chapters. On the plus side, these two chapters gave me a lot of nostalgia for my travels for Kyoto and Japan over the years!
